Bhinneka tunggal ika is the official national
motto of Indonesia and the spirit of life of Indonesia that will remain functional function and useful
things at of all the time. the phrase
is old javannese translated as “unity in diversity” it is inscribed in
the Indonesian national symbol, garuda pancasila. The official motto of
indonesia is under the feet of garuda pancasila.
Pancasila, the Five
Principles, is the basic philosophy of the government. These principles are:
Belief in one God, Just and civilized humanity, the Unity of Indonesia,
Democracy led by the wisdom of deliberations among representatives, and Social
Justice for all Indonesian citizens.
We need to know that the
Unity in Diversity means ‘ Although we are different and yet we remain one
also’. It is capable of making the spirit of the Indonesian people to live
side by side in harmony and peace in phenomena of differences of religion,
race, tribe and ethnicity.
Religion plays an important role within
Indonesian society and in the daily lives of the people. Indonesia is the
country with the largest Muslim population in the world but it also contains
millions of people that adhere to other main world religions as well as more
traditional animist belief systems. This section gives a description of the
main religions in Indonesia, to wit Islam, Christianity (including
Catholicism), Hinduism and Buddhism. It gives a historic framework and
describes the current role of religion in the country.
Our
nation Indonesia, oonisist of many island with 33 province and thousand more of
tribes cultures and traditional language. Because of Indonesia landscape
consistof many isand so Indonesia is called “nusantara” with many culture ,
tribes and traditional language our nation be the most of beautiful country in
the world.
There are some 300
ethnic groups, a result of both the country's unique geography and history.
Many Indonesians may see themselves first by their ethnic and cultural group
and secondly as Indonesians. The glue that binds the people together is the usage of the Bahasa Indonesia, the
national language, and Pancasila, the national philosophy, which stresses the
doctrine of unity and universal justice for all Indones
And Bahasa Indonesia, The written and spoken form
is based on the Malay trade dialect which was
used throughout the region in the past. Bahasa Indonesia is a strong unifying factor
in a country where more than 300 distinct regional languages are still spoken.
Bahasa Indonesia is not a difficult language to learn and many expatriates
quickly learn the language sufficiently to succeed in meeting every day needs.
Indonesia
rich of natural resources and human resources. As we know that Indonesia have
many natural resources like oil, gas, timber, gold, and many others from plant
we have many kind of spices plants like candle nuts, finger root and many
others Indonesia is really famous in other country.
Because
of Indonesia rich of natural resources make the other country like japan and
dutch want to overcome of our nation. The want to take the natural resources as
much as possible from Indonesia to the country. The colonize our nation . it
last about 3,5 centuries . they take move and move all that our nation have.
Indonesian
people here really suffering because of the colonialism. Dutch and japan
colonize and force Indonesian people to work hard for them. When the dutch
colonialism is called “ kerja rodi” and when the colonialism make Indonesian
people really suffering they can enjoy their life in ow country with properly
life.
In
1945 when japan, force by NICA young Indonesian people struggleto proclaime
their liberty and then in 17th august 1945 soekarno – hatta as the
name of Indonesian people proclaime the Indonesian liberty.now every august 17th
we always celebrate our independence day.
Soekarno
as the first president of our nation in his speech ever say to young people
like this “put your dream as high as the sky so when you fall down between the
stars” . his speech make young people get more spirit to make to make Indonesian
changes. They study hard and full their life high spirit.
And
now as the young people that life in independence country we must continue what
their dream about the changes. But not forget to learn from the local wisdom to
built and to make move strong the character of our nation learn from the young
people in the past and always keep the spirit.
As
the nation that have many cultures, tribes and language we must proud and of
course never forget the root of our histry always keep it ever after learn from
the history of our nation is the based of the Indonesian changes.
But
now many young people begin to forget their root culture. They think that our
culture is really old and un modern nized. They shame to recognize the local
wisdom of our nation, they follow the culture from western that they didn’t
know and realize that western culture is not same or maybe different with the
east culture.
We
need pancasila as the based of our nation to avoid the western culture that
come to our nation, as the young people we must learn how that pancasila make
by the young people at the past with full of struggle. Young people must
understand pancasila as the principal in our nation.
Other
people in other country think that Indonesia is really unique. Indonesia has
many culture, tribes and traditional language that can make Indonesia more and
more famous in other country. Its really valuable for our nation. Our unique
culture is make our nation different from other country.
As
the young people we must able to show to the other country that we rich of
culture like wayang , traditional dance, traditional music costums and many
other. It can bring show to the other country so they know more and more about
nation.
Despite
this diversity, Indonesia today has a common bond that united them all into one
nation, one language, and one people.
Due to this diversity, conflicts are unavoidable. However, the people of
Indonesia have been able to overcome their differences. The spirit of
musyawarah to deliberate or confer, mufakat to agree, and gotong-royong (mutual
assistance) that have been instilled by their fore-father have helped in
achieving peace between the people's groups. i have yet find this quality in
any other nations of the world.
I
hope that this fourth largest country in the world, with many diversities
within her own region will manage to continue to be bonded with the spirit of musyawarh,
mufakat, and gotong-royong. Overcoming
yet another challenge that will test the very fabric of Bhineka Tunggal Ika (
Many but One or Unity in Diversity).
